About the event

We are excited to announce the 1st session of our 12-session series on the Code of Ethics. In this session, we have invited two distinguished speakers, Dr Katherine Hunt and Hooria Goodarzi, to share their insights on the Code of Ethics. 

Learn more about our Speakers: 

Dr Katherine Hunt combines her expertise in psychology with her passion for financial advice to lead global research projects with real-world impact. Katherine holds a PhD in “The Law and Economics of Microfinance” from Erasmus University of Rotterdam, the University of Hamburg, and the University of Bologna. Katherine has a strategic view of important issues, granted by a Bachelor of Psychological Science, alongside her Bachelor of Commerce and First Class Honours in Finance. The author of dozens of peer-reviewed academic journal articles, textbooks, and book chapters, Katherine leads through example in her quest to share knowledge and make the world a better place. Katherine focuses on helping financial advisers and their practices achieve the growth they are looking for. Katherine has undertaken field research in places such as Pakistan, Bhutan and Nicaragua, has visited 66 countries (so far), and has surfed in more than 20 of those.

Hooria Goodarzi has diverse experience in Financial Services and Technology; she holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a master's degree in Finance. She has a diverse career, including Agile Project manager, Remediation specialist and financial adviser. She has been running online courses for financial advisers in the past 24 months, helping them pass their Financial Adviser Exams, and she has helped more than 300 advisers in that short period. She was awarded the brain trust award from  Ensombl (previously XYAdviser). Hooria currently focuses on Risk & Compliance in Financial Services, such as how to comply with the Code of Ethics, Practical examples and scenarios to help licensees and advisers adhere to this critical obligation more smoothly.
